Website Redesign Cost

Website Redesign Cost in India (2026)

A redesign quote is only comparable when both sides describe the same six stages. A figure that covers design but not content migration is not a cheaper redesign, it is a smaller one. This page separates the stages, shows what the floor price includes and marks the work that always sits outside it.

Website Redesign Cost

Most redesign estimates are built from a page count, which is the least useful number in the project. Template variety, unique layouts, integrations and the redirect map decide the effort. Two sites with three hundred pages each can differ by a factor of three on that basis alone.

Redesign cost by stage in 2026

The six stages below are priced as work. A supplier who quotes a single figure without naming them is asking you to trust an undisclosed scope.

Redesign work is quoted starting from Rs 14,999. That figure assumes a brochure site, a defined template set and content that already exists in usable form.

StageWhat the stage coversWhat you receive
AuditTraffic and ranking pages, enquiry paths, template inventory, platform limitsProtection list and baseline figures

Where a redesign budget grows
01
Extra templates. Every additional layout adds design, build and testing time.
02
Commerce. Product, category, cart and checkout templates, plus payment and shipping integrations.
03
Membership or booking. Logged-in states, account screens and transactional email flows.
04
Copywriting. New text for pages that never had any, or for a changed market position.
05
Photography and illustration. Commissioned assets are a production cost, not a design one.
06
A platform change. Rebuilding carries data mapping and integration testing on top of the six stages.
07
Accessibility remediation. Retrofitting an older template set costs more than designing it correctly.
What the floor price includes

At the entry point we deliver all six stages for a small marketing site: up to ten templates, a design system, the existing pages moved across, a redirect map and a launch checklist. Distinct layouts drive the estimate, because each one is designed, built and tested once.

Two rounds of design feedback sit inside the fee. Content entry for pages that already exist is included, while writing new prose is not.

Work that always sits outside the fee

Hosting, domain renewal, paid themes, plugin licences, stock images and third-party subscriptions are billed by their suppliers. Advertising spend, ongoing search retainers and content marketing are separate services with their own agreements.

We list those exclusions in the proposal rather than burying them, because a quote that looks unusually low tends to be missing three of them.

How to compare two redesign quotes

Ask each supplier to state the template count, the number of revision rounds, whether the redirect map is a line item and who writes the copy. Ask whether the audit is included or billed as a first phase.

Then compare totals for the same scope. A quote that omits content migration is not a saving, it is a cost that arrives in month three.

Payment stages and change requests

We usually invoice a deposit at kickoff, a second instalment when designs are approved and the balance at launch. Extra pages, extra templates or a changed platform after sign-off are quoted as change requests before any of that work begins.

What the fee does not promise

A redesign fee buys the work, not a ranking. Traffic and enquiry outcomes depend on the redirect map, the content and the market, which is why the audit and the ninety-day comparison matter more than the invoice total.

What to send for a fixed redesign quote

Send the current URL list, the template inventory if one exists, analytics and search console access, and the pages that generate enquiries. If a platform change is planned, say so at the start rather than after design approval.

The URL list changes the estimate most, because every address needs a decision.

Redesign, tune-up or rebuild: the price difference

A tune-up is the cheapest and narrowest of the three: speed, navigation and a handful of templates. A redesign replaces the design system. A rebuild also changes the platform, which adds data mapping and integration testing to the same six stages.

Choosing between them is a scope decision rather than a budget one, and it is worth settling before any supplier quotes.

What a redesign costs over three years

The build is the first cost. Hosting, care, licence renewals and small enhancements follow. Budgeting only for launch usually leaves the site unmaintained in year two, which is when speed and security work becomes urgent.

Send the URL list and the template count

Write to [email protected] with the current site, roughly how many distinct layouts it uses and whether the platform is staying, or send the same on WhatsApp.

If a quote is already on the table and the stages do not match, call contact us and we will mark what is missing before you compare totals.

Frequently Asked Questions
A brochure redesign is quoted starting from Rs 14,999. Sites with commerce, membership areas, more than ten templates or new copy are quoted after the template and URL inventory, and most land between the floor and a few lakh.
Because the floor assumes a small marketing site with existing content and a defined layout count. Commerce, custom applications and copy that has to be written add stages, not pages.
It is fixed for the scope written in the proposal, including the template list and revision rounds. Anything added after approval is quoted as a change request before it is built.
No. Existing text is migrated as it stands. New copy, brand messaging and product descriptions are priced per page or as a separate content project.
Hosting, domain renewals, paid themes or plugins, stock imagery, photography and third-party subscriptions. Those are supplier costs and arrive on their own invoices.
Yes. A common split puts audit, design and build in one financial year and content migration plus launch in the next. The redirect map has to travel with whichever phase goes live.
The technical side is included: redirects, metadata carried across, canonicals and a sitemap. Keyword research, content strategy and link work are a separate retainer.
Typically a deposit at kickoff, a second payment at design approval and the balance at launch. Larger projects can be divided by stage instead, with each invoice tied to a signed-off deliverable.
A platform change, a larger template count, commerce or booking flows, and content that does not exist yet. Each adds a stage rather than a page, so the estimate moves in steps.
