Website Performance Optimisation in India (2026)

A site that takes five seconds to open loses people before the first paragraph. Most of that time is not the design: it is an unoptimised hero image, a font request that blocks rendering, six tracking scripts and a server answering in a second.

Share your requirement, current setup, and expected timeline. We will help you scope the right service approach quickly.

Website Performance Optimisation

Performance work fails when it starts with a tool score. A score is a summary of rules; the visitor experiences three things: how long the main content takes to appear, whether taps respond, and whether the layout jumps while they read. Fix those in order and the score follows.

Start with field data, not a single test

Lab tools run one request from one location with a warm cache. Real users arrive on mid-range Android phones, on congested mobile networks, with cold caches and a dozen open tabs.

We start from field measurements where they exist, and a throttled mobile test where they do not, then confirm the same problem appears in both. If it only appears in one, it is usually a tool artefact rather than a user problem.

Images: usually the largest single win

One photograph straight from a camera can weigh more than the rest of the page. Resizing, compressing in a modern format, setting explicit dimensions and lazy-loading everything below the fold typically removes more time than any script change.

The hero image is the exception: it should not be lazy-loaded, because it is often the element that decides when the page feels ready.

Fonts and the render-blocking request

A web font loaded from a third-party domain adds a connection before text can paint. Self-hosting the font, subsetting it to the characters used and preloading the one weight that matters removes most of that delay.

If a brand font is not essential above the fold, a system font stack is faster and looks native on every device.

JavaScript and the third-party tag pile

Every tag manager, chat widget, heat-map and advertising pixel adds a request, a parse and often a main-thread task. The pile accumulates because nobody removes anything.

We inventory the tags, keep the ones with a business owner, defer what can wait, and remove what nobody can justify. This is usually a conversation with marketing rather than a code change.

Caching, compression and the CDN

Static assets should be cached for a long time with versioned filenames, while the HTML entry point stays short-lived. Compression at the server or edge reduces transfer for every text response.

A CDN helps most when the origin is far from users or when traffic spikes; it cannot fix a page that ships five megabytes of images.

Server response time and the hosting underneath

A dynamic page that takes 800 milliseconds to start rendering has already lost most of its budget. The usual causes are an unindexed query, a plugin doing work on every request and a shared host under load.

Sometimes the fix is code and sometimes it is the plan. We say which, because moving to a faster server does not fix a slow query.

Core Web Vitals in plain terms

Largest Contentful Paint is when the main content appears. Interaction to Next Paint is whether taps respond. Cumulative Layout Shift is whether the page jumps while loading.

Layout shift is the cheapest of the three to fix: reserve space for images, embeds and banners instead of letting them push text down.

What not to do

Chasing a perfect lab score by hiding content behind interactions, lazy-loading the hero image, or delaying text until JavaScript runs makes the measured number better and the experience worse. We optimise the visitor, not the dashboard.

Keeping it fast after the project

Performance regresses with every campaign landing page and every new tag. A monthly check of the three core metrics, with a budget for page weight, keeps the site where the project left it.

When a rebuild is cheaper than optimisation

If the theme loads four frameworks and the content model forces enormous pages, tuning has a ceiling. We say so when the numbers point there, rather than selling a third round of fixes.

What to send before a performance quote

Send the URL, the platform, which pages matter commercially, and any analytics you already run. A screenshot of a speed score is not enough; the field data and the page list decide the work.

Read next: the website speed guide, or web hosting services if the server is the constraint.

What performance work costs

An optimisation engagement starts at Rs 5,999 for a single template set: measurement, image pipeline, font handling, caching and script cleanup. Multi-template sites, shops and custom applications are quoted after the audit.

Hosting, CDN usage and third-party tools are separate. Moving to static hosting or a VPS is quoted as its own piece of work.

What the performance scope includes

  • Field and lab measurement of the three core metrics
  • Image audit, resizing, modern formats and dimension attributes
  • Font subsetting, self-hosting and preload for the critical weight
  • Cache policy by file type and compression at the edge
  • Third-party tag inventory with a keep or remove decision
  • Before-and-after report on the same device profile

Before the work starts

Confirm which pages carry revenue, whether marketing can remove tags, and whether a staging copy exists. Performance changes are safest when they can be tested before they reach customers.

Send the URL and the pages that earn

Write to [email protected] with the site URL, the platform and the pages that matter most commercially, or send the same on WhatsApp.

If the site feels slow only on mobile, call 7840002466. Mobile timings point at images, fonts and scripts far more often than at the server.

Frequently Asked Questions
Work starts at Rs 5,999 for one template set covering measurement, images, fonts, caching and script cleanup. Shops, custom applications and multi-template sites are quoted after the audit.
Page experience is one input among many. Faster pages help conversions directly, and the technical work often improves crawl efficiency, but content and links still decide most rankings.
On a fixed device and network profile, before and after, using the same pages. A score from a single lab run is not evidence; the comparison on identical settings is.
Images, in most audits. Then third-party scripts, render-blocking fonts and a slow server response. The order changes by site, which is why measurement comes first.
It helps when visitors are far from the server or traffic spikes. It does not compensate for oversized images or a page that loads four frameworks.
Yes. The work is usually image handling, plugin and tag cleanup, caching and removing render-blocking assets. The platform changes the method, not the principles.
A single template set takes one to two weeks. A shop with several templates and integrations takes three to five, mostly for testing.
Not intentionally. Performance work should be invisible: same layout, same content, faster delivery. If a design change would help, it is proposed separately.
A page-weight budget, a monthly check of the three core metrics, and a rule that new tags and images pass the same review. Performance regresses quietly without that.
The URL, the platform, the pages that matter commercially, and access to analytics or field data if it exists.
