Cashify App Development Cost in India (2026)
A recommerce app quotes a price before it sees the product, then spends the rest of the journey proving that price was right. The quote engine, pickup network and verification bench decide whether the model makes money.

Recommerce App Cost
One connected partner for planning, implementation, support, and ongoing optimization around this service area.
Recommerce looks like ecommerce with a reverse arrow, but the economics are different. The platform buys a device before it knows the true condition, holds it through refurbishment and sells it again. Every module exists to reduce the uncertainty in that sequence.
What a recommerce app has to price
The product is a quote, a pickup and a payout, followed by a resale listing. The app has to collect enough information to price the device, schedule a collection, record what actually arrived and settle the difference.
A quote-only launch built from the catalogue, quote engine, customer app and pickup modules usually costs Rs 18,00,000 to Rs 45,00,000. Verification, resale inventory and partner networks push a full platform toward Rs 1.2 crore.
| Module | Indicative range | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Payments and payouts | Rs 4,00,000 - Rs 12,00,000 | Customer payouts, resale payments, refunds and reconciliation |
| Admin and pricing rules | Rs 4,00,000 - Rs 10,00,000 | Catalogue, quote rules, roles, reporting and exceptions |
| Quote engine and catalogue | Rs 5,00,000 - Rs 12,00,000 | Model master, condition questions and price bands |
| Pickup and partner app | Rs 5,00,000 - Rs 14,00,000 | Slots, assignment, collection proof and field status |
| Integrations and launch | Rs 5,00,000 - Rs 15,00,000 | KYC, IMEI checks, messaging, analytics and store release |
| Customer app and web quote | Rs 6,00,000 - Rs 15,00,000 | Category browse, quote flow, order status and support |
| Verification and grading console | Rs 6,00,000 - Rs 18,00,000 | Bench checks, revised offers, evidence and approvals |
| Refurbishment and resale inventory | Rs 6,00,000 - Rs 20,00,000 | Intake, repair, grading, listing and marketplace sync |
Everything else supports the number the customer sees. The engine needs a model master with variants, a condition questionnaire that a non-technical customer can answer, and a price rule for every combination that matters.
The questionnaire should ask only what changes the price. Asking about a feature that every unit of the model has adds friction without improving the quote. Asking about screen cracks, battery behaviour and accessory completeness usually earns its place.
Quotes can be firm or ranged. A firm quote converts better but carries more risk when the device arrives in worse condition. A range protects margin but slows the decision. Most platforms use a firm quote with a verification step and a clear revised-offer policy.
Pickup is where the digital promise meets the physical device. The customer chooses a slot, a partner or internal agent is assigned, and the collection record captures the serial number, accessories and a photograph.
Verification happens at a bench or at the customer's door. The technician runs a guided check, records cosmetic findings and compares them with the quote answers. A matching device is paid at the quoted price; a mismatch produces a revised offer with evidence and a deadline.
Payouts need controls. Instant transfers improve conversion but increase fraud exposure, so high-value orders should require a second approval or a short hold. Every payout should reconcile to an order, a verification result and a bank or wallet reference.
Once paid, the device becomes inventory. It needs an intake record, a repair plan, a grade and a listing. The resale side is a normal ecommerce catalogue with one difference: every unit is unique, so the listing attaches to a specific serial number rather than a stock quantity.
That uniqueness changes the software. Inventory cannot be a simple count, because one grade A unit and one grade C unit of the same model are different products. The catalogue needs condition as a first-class attribute, and the order needs to reserve the exact device that was sold.
Returns close the loop. A returned device re-enters verification, may be regraded and may be relisted at a lower price. The record should show the full chain rather than creating a new product with no history.
The low end is a quote-and-pickup product for one category in one city, with manual verification and a simple payout. The middle band adds a partner app, bench verification and a resale catalogue. The top band adds multi-city logistics, automated fraud checks, marketplace integrations and a full refurbishment workflow.
Most serious operators sit in the middle. The low end is a validation build, not a national business, and the top end is justified only when volume and resale margin support the operational complexity.
A recommerce platform holds identity documents, bank details and device identifiers. Consent, purpose limitation, retention and deletion need to be designed rather than added later. The DPDP Act applies to customer data, and e-waste rules apply to the physical material that cannot be resold.
Device data needs its own policy. A phone handed over may still contain personal photos and accounts, so the intake process should include a documented reset or wipe and a record of what was done. That record also protects the business if a former owner later claims data was misused.
The sequence protects cash. A national launch before the quote accuracy is known turns every city into an experiment with its own losses.
- One category, one city:: prove the quote, pickup and payout loop with a narrow catalogue.
- Bench verification:: add the revised-offer flow and measure how often quotes change.
- Resale catalogue:: list verified devices with condition as an attribute and serial-level inventory.
- Partner network:: extend pickup through third parties once the internal process is stable.
- Automation:: add device checks, marketplace sync and finance controls where volume justifies them.
Scope note
This guide prices a device recommerce product built for the Indian market. It is not a copy of any existing app, and no proprietary code, catalogue or customer data is used.
24Bit System is independent of Cashify and has no endorsement, partnership or code-sharing arrangement with the brand. The name describes a product category: instant quotes for used phones and laptops, pickup, verification, payout and resale.
