Desktop Rental Services

How these faults present

• Workstations are needed for a fixed term: Temporary capacity is required A rental covers the project period.
• Machines move between offices or sites: A stable setup is needed, not a portable one A desktop suits a fixed location.
• A machine is away for repair: The role cannot wait A rental bridges the repair.
• New hardware has a long lead time: Staff have nothing in the meantime An existing rental is available sooner.

Where this differs by device

• A desktop is the better rental where machines stay in one place, since power and network are already there.
• Form factor matters, since a small machine takes less desk space and a tower is easier to expand.

Where engagements like this go wrong

• Renting a general office specification for work that needs more.
• Assuming a rental is a new machine, when it carries previous use.
• Not agreeing what happens if a machine fails during the term.

What changes the cost

• Rental period and the figures attached to short and long terms.
• Specification of the machine supplied.
• Whether support and a replacement guarantee apply.
